Dr. Ford made an oral presentation on the project at the 10th International Petroleum Environmental Conference in Houston in November 2003. Several people talked with Dr. Ford about the research both before and after the presentation. Shailendra Singh, the graduate student working on this project, gave a poster presentation on the project.
Processing of samples that were not completed previously has been done.
In the next quarter, the microcosms designed to study the leachate from soils amended with hay and fertilizers will begin. We will also be investigating better methods of wet aggregate soil stability. Soil sampling will begin again when the weather is warm enough and the ground is dry enough.
